scroll mouse

hi,

i have usb scroll (logitech) mouse. It works after I chose "usb" from model list during installtion. But scrolling doesn't work.
I even try giving "IMPS/2" in XF86Config (which is what present in mandrake xf86config-4 file). but in vain.

anybody know how to configure this?

Option "ZAxis Mapping" "4 5"

in the pointer section of

/etc/X11/XF86Config

got it to work for me - don't know if that's it for you or something else is wrong. I have a USB with a PS/2 adapter so I list IMPS/2 - not sure if a USB needs something else or not.

The ZAxisMapping thing works for my USB optical scroll mouse. I'm fairly sure it also has to be IMPS/2 instead of PS/2.

I used to hate scroll mice but now I refuse to use a computer without one

They are quite handy!
