screen turn blue / Slackware 14.0 xfce 4.10 GeForce GO 6100

Hi

my screen "turns blue" from time to time, looks like the red(?) colour channel doesn't get through anymore (or is it the yellow?). I don't think there's something wrong with the cable. Eventually it comes back to normal.

I use Slackware 14.0 / xfce 4.10 / on a Acer Aspire 9300 laptop (GeForce GO 6100)

the screen is a LG W2340S ( I don't use the labtop's screen )

any idea ?

Sounds like hardware to me, sorry to say. If it were a video driver issue you'd be screwed all the time as opposed to just sometimes.

How do you know for sure the cable is good? If it's VGA just part with a couple of bucks and spring for a new one. I'm assuming you re-seated the connections and looked for bent pins etc.

I guess you're right. I think it's the output plug, not the cable.

thanx
