Well, this is weird. Rocksndiamonds builds OK in my slack64-current box. However, in another where I have a stock 14.2 install, this is what happens:

Code:
gcc -Wall -DTARGET_SDL -I/usr/include/SDL -D_GNU_SOURCE=1 -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -DRO_GAME_DIR="\"/usr/share/games/rocksndiamonds\"" -DRW_GAME_DIR="\"/var/games/rocksndiamonds\"" -DONE_PER_NAME -c netserv.c

Just built on both 32 and 64bit virtual machines here (both 14.2 + /patches).

Not sure why you're running into it, but this page:
https://lists.archlinux.org/pipermai...er/292009.html
suggests that Arch does this:
Code:
sed -i 's|inline void InitElementSmallImagesScaledUp|void InitElementSmallImagesScaledUp|g' src/init.c

Hey guys,

mkvtoolnix is not building on -current correctly anymore. It is complaining that it cannot find the boost libs.
Code:
checking for boostlib >= 1.46.0... yes
checking whether the Boost::System library is available... yes
checking for exit in -lboost_system... yes
checking whether the Boost::Filesystem library is available... no
configure: error: The Boost Filesystem Library was not found.
Could someone possibly look into this and add it to ponce's github? Thanks in advance.

hi Skaendo,

I just built it on current with no probs two days ago: can you please post your config.log file that you can find in the sources folder just after you got that error on pastebin?

Sure thing: http://pastebin.com/gdDQm4P2

I did use a hack for LibreOffice: https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...7/#post5603308

But there boost 1.59 is installed into /opt/boost159. I don't think that it should affect it, but thought that I should mention it.

Ok, sorry guys. I just reinstalled boost and it is working fine. Maybe the LibreOffice hack did affect it.

I looked in pkgtool, and it only listed boost-1.61, but who knows. Reinstalling it fixed it so, thanks for your time.

Code:
configure:9362: checking whether the Boost::Filesystem library is available
configure:9386: g++ -c -O2 -fPIC  -I/usr/include conftest.cpp >&5
In file included from /usr/include/boost/type_traits/decay.hpp:14:0,
                 from /usr/include/boost/filesystem/path_traits.hpp:22,
                 from /usr/include/boost/filesystem/path.hpp:25,
                 from conftest.cpp:41:
/usr/include/boost/type_traits/is_function.hpp:15:53: fatal error: boost/type_traits/detail/false_result.hpp: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
the file /usr/include/boost/type_traits/is_function.hpp contained in the boost-1.61.0 package doesn't have any reference to the file false_result.hpp, unlike the same file included in the boost-1.59.0.
considered this I think your boost installation is borked: I suggest you to "upgradepkg --reinstall boost-1.61.0*txz".

EDIT: you have been faster than me!
