i am using slackware 9.1, my sound card is SBLive Value, the problem is only two front speakers are working, the rear ones are passive, no sound output from them. whats the problem, how can i correct this?
I just set up my sblive recently and there was a setting in the alsa mixer called something like PCX and when I turned it up the rear speakers started to work.
this may sound odd, but my rear speakers dont work when 'SBLIVE' in alsamixer in UNMUTED. MUTE it and everything works. I think SBLIVE enables digital over analog...so turn it off if you dont have a digital connection.
