save desktop settings

hey guys,

i want to know how to save my desktop settings so if i have to format my linux i can set them back to the saved settings. becouse i would like to use the settings i have now. and if i format my pc i would like to have them back

ps: i use slackware 11 with KDE 3.5 as desktop

I think the .kde folder in your home folder would do. Just save it some place else.

Best thing would be to save your whole home folder on another drive and then reinstall.
