SATA Promise FastTrak 378
having not used raid in slackware for sometime can anyone tell me if the kernel in slackware 12 picks up the Promise FastTrak 378 raid controller without issue or is there something i will need to do to get it all working ?
i dont really want to have to wipe the os thats on there atm if its not going to work or if i have to mess about alot to get it to work |

that might start you off in the right direction. Also you could partition part of your raid and make the other partition the Linux boot. i have the same raid controller on my system, although i don't boot Slackware to it, it does see them as drives. |
thanks i'll take a look at it - the system will (if all goes well and i can find what i need) go onto a ide drive the other ide drive will be a junk dir - will put bits and bobs on there and the raid will be used as storage in a raid1 setup
