Samba/Lisa ----> XP Printer

I am trying to print to a XP printer (Canon BJC4300 Color) on my home network.

I have searched for this in the posts but only had limited success in finding any info. Most posts on here give examples of printing to a printer attached to the linux box not the Win machine. I would hook the printer up to the linux end except I have kids and they need to use the printer in the other room...(Long story). Anyway I am stuck using it on windows. I am running samba ( smbd + nmbd + lisa) and I can get a decent win share when looking at the network thru linux (Konquerer), and I see a folder called print$
That is it. No printer devices. I am running cups as the printer server and have tried to install a printer thru the method of http. (as in using the cups admin thru local web) Using: smb://192.168.1.101/BJC4300

This isn't working of course. There isn't a device ev en showing up as that. (The share name for the printer is 'BJC4300', though)

Hmm, anything else? I can't think of whats going on here. Oh- when I try and load the print manager in kde now, it comes up for a few seconds then dies (disappears...) strange....

Should I be looking for the printer somewhere else?

Thanks ahead-

bc
