Salck 14 and xfce taskbar

I just installed 14 on a new system and I am having trouble with xfce4 setup. First time running I didn't have panels or a task bar at the bottom. Well, I got the panels using xfce4-session-settings, but no task bar setting. How do I get the task bar?

Ok, I see how to do that , but how do I make it like my original Slack13 does the panel? It seems to be panels within a panel. And, no matter where I right click and select customize, it says panel 1 with a completely different window than in Slack 14.

Not sure what the 13 panel looked like. You customize the number of panels, and many panel settings from the XFCE settings manager. Start button --> Settings --> Settings Manager --> Panel. You can have more than one panel. The + and - buttons add and subtract panels.

To move a panel, right click on the panel, the drop down has a Move function. Proporties allows more customization.

Actually problem solved. I just learned a lot about separators, using them to move items to the right and the such. But, thanks to all who got me pointed in the right direction.
