rxvt-unicode upgrade: text shifts left instead of wrapping.

Over the weekend I upgraded rxvt-unicode from rxvt-unicode-9.15-i486-1_SBo to the latest release (rxvt-unicode-9.20-i486-1_SBo). Now when I type a long line in a virtual terminal the text shifts left rather than wrapping. Cursor movements are also quite funky and make editing the command line quite difficult.

I cannot imagine what in the rvxt upgrade could cause this behavior, but that's the only system change I made recently.

Please suggest tests I can run to isolate the source of this problem, or fixes to it. If I can find the earlier release I don't mind using that.

Willy,

Posting to the slackbuilds-user list was my first thought but I anticipated being asked to move the thread here. :-)

Anyway, I looked closely at what rxvt-unicode adds to rxvt and decided to remove the package for the time being. When the virtual terminal is vanilla rxvt it does not properly display accented characters. If it can, then I need to learn what to add to the command line (or config file) to allow it to do so.

THanks,

Rich
