running rc.dnsmasq

I run dnsmasq on my Slackware 10.0 server. I have made rc.dnsmasq executable and ls -l shows that its permissions are the same as the other active rcs.
After start up it is not running and if I enter /etc/rc.d/rc.dsnsmasq start it runs, but I want to make this automatic.

Add this in /etc/rc.d/rc.local or /etc/rc.d/rc.inet2

if [ -x /etc/rc.d/rc.dnsmasq ]; then
/etc/rc.d/rc.dnsmasq start
fi

Thanks, I will put it in rc.inet2 after the bind daemon start test, which seems to be the logical place.
