Any particular reason why you want to run it? Not trying to be funny at all - it's just that when I first started messing around in Linux I found that a combination of Fluxbox and ROX-Filer (file manager) worked really well for me, and I've stuck with them. I think the ROX Desktop project has its own window manager called OroboROX - presumably a derivative? What standout features does Oroborus have?

Oroborus might be the smallest window manager around.
But afaik it's not being actively developed.
A couple of years ago I used Oroborus in combination with fspanel (f*** small panel) and DFM as file manager. Summed up to a complete desktop at just a few hundreds of kB RAM consumption.

But a few bugs and the stalled development made me checkout other options. Currently I run KDE on modern machines, Fluxbox and Openbox 3 on older ones. All good.
