running ld


root@nimrod3:~# which ld
/usr/bin/ld
root@nimrod3:~# ld
ld: no input files
root@nimrod3:~# ld /etc/ld.so.conf
ld:/etc/ld.so.conf: file format not recognized; treating as linker script
ld:/etc/ld.so.conf:2: parse error

did I do anything wrong?

Did you want to run "ldconfig" perhaps?
