Running Cinelerra as user.

After installing Cinelerra (packages from Slacky.eu) I can only run it as root. If I try to run it as user, it starts but it keeps frozen.

I've installed it at home (same way) and it works OK. At work, it doesn't.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Thanks,
Glore2002.-

Just a guess but does your home and your work users belong to the same groups ?

Groups.

Thanks bgeddy for your reply.

I am not at home now but I guess groups are the same. By the way, Which ones should I let the user be part of?

Thanks again,
Glore2002.-

Well I'd say the standard suggested Slackware 12.1 groups - being :

Code:
audio, cdrom, floppy, plugdev, video
The adduser script changed with Slackware 12.1 to make it easier to remember the extra groups.

I thought it sounded like a permissions issue.

I've not seen the package so I'm afraid I can't really be of more help.
