Run app on fluxbox workspace 2 at startup

I don't know if this is even posible. I run
azureus in workspace 2 in fluxbox and I was
wandering if I could autostart it by writting
a command in the xinitrc or somewhere else ...

Any ideas...

I think you can add an entry like the following to your ~/.fluxbox/apps file:

Code:

[startup] {/path/to/azureus}

Fluxbox will later remember the workspace etc (if you choose to). Such settings are stored in the same file, in sections like the following:

[app] (amsn)
  [Workspace]   {1}
  [Position]    (UPPERLEFT)     {755 0}
  [Close]       {yes}
[end]

Tried your suggestion, but no. If I modify
the existing (mozilla) entry for example,
either by witting the [startup] option, the
[Workspace] option, or a combination of both,
then mozilla won't start.

I think there has to be a command to put on
xinitrc to launch startup executions.

You can also use ~/.fluxbox/startup

Just program in there followed by a &

Then start azureus, right click on title bar and set it to remember workspace.

Interesting. I just tried it (the [startup] option) and it worked. I didn't try the [app] thing however. I'm using the fluxbx from -current btw.

You were also right Ilgar, looking at the .fluxbox/apps
after the `remember workspace' setting I have this:

[app] (mozilla-bin)
  [Workspace]   {1}
  [Dimensions]  {242 552}
  [Position]    (UPPERLEFT)     {760 30} 
[end]

Only thing missing was where to put the app to launch
at startup.
