rp-pppoe-3.5 strangeness

Hello all,

Just installed Slackware 9.0 on my laptop and rp-pppoe-3.5 to get my DSL running. Everything installed fine. When I type adsl-start everything seems to be working. I get the Connected! message. Yet, when I load up Lynx or Links, I can't connect to any site.

Here's what I get when I type ifconfig:

eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:AC:51:84:53
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:208 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:130 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
RX bytes:16504 (16.1 Kb) TX bytes:8585 (8.3 Kb)
Interrupt:11 Base address:0x4000

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1
RX packets:34 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:34 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:0
RX bytes:2676 (2.6 Kb) TX bytes:2676 (2.6 Kb)

ppp0 Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol
inet addr:65.94.205.14 P-t-P:65.94.205.1 Mask:255.255.255.255
UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1492 Metric:1
RX packets:71 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0
TX packets:69 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:3
RX bytes:4694 (4.5 Kb) TX bytes:5106 (4.9 Kb)

My guess is that it has something to do with the fact that my network card is a PCMCIA card and that I missed something in the rc.inet1 file.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Found the problem.

Under pppoe.conf, I had to change DNSTYPE to SERVER.

Everything runs fine now.
