Router box forwarding IP addresses to main server?

Okay, here's my question. I've currently got a small router box (Slackware based) and a large server (also Slack based). From my ISP I got a half block of IPs (XX.XX.XX.130 - XX.XX.XX.254 with gateway of XX.XX.XX.129). My issue is this:

1) How do I get the router to forward all the IPs to the server? Do I use IPTables? The "route" command"? The Hosts file?

2) Does the route need to be set to XX.X.XX.130 for all of this to work, or can the server be set there?

3) How do I subnet all the addresses out? The server needs to host DNS, web, FTP, and mail, plus it is going to be doing the DHCP for the rest of the internal network on ETH1.

Currently I have the router pulled into the extended D-Mark on eth0. From the routers' eth1 there is a crossover cable to the servers eth0.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer!

You will have to provide more information about your current network setup. Does the router use NAT to hide an "internal" IP address for the server? Or does the server already use one of the official IP addresses? What address does the router use on it's external interface; what address does it use on the interface that is connected to the server? Etc..etc... you think up what information is necessary for a good answer.

My apologizes Eric.

1) The server needs the block of public IPs. There is no need to hide the "internal" IPs from the server.

2) The router is going to use 216.54.80.130 (gateway 216.54.80.129) on its external (eth0) interface.

3) I have not set an address to interface with the server yet, just made the physical connection. I didn't want to set anything until I knew for sure how it should be done.

If you still need more information, please let me know!

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
