root disk with LILO

After installing Slackware 10.2 I ran into some troubles with GRUB so
I decided to boot with LILO editing the MBR.
The Installation was clean, then when I went to reboot I was given a
LILO boot menu with this prompt

boot:

So I hit enter, and it said it was loading Linux and it went through a
number of tasks before it stopped at

VFS: Insert root floppy and press ENTER

now, I realized I need a root disk obviously, yet I don't have a
floppy drive considering this is a laptop. I surfed the internet for a
while and saw I needed a install.1 and a install.2 root disk. How can
I do this? I have the capability to burn CD's if that helps in any
way.
I appreciate any help you can offer me.

Hi

You should not need a root floppy. Something probably went wrong with your lilo install and it doesn't find a valid kernel or something.

Boot from your CD and look through yur lilo configuration. You don't need to reinstall slackware just boot from the CD passing something like this at your boot prompt.
boot: bare.i root=/dev/hda1 noinitrd

Where you replace bare.i with your kernel of choice and hda1 with your correct root partition.
