Resource in use error when trying to load modules for wireless card

I installed the linux wlan drivers for my Linksys WPC11 Wireless Network PCMCIA, and when I insert the card, I get a resource in use error. Here is what dmesg reports:
Code:

I am running a custom compiled 2.4.22 kernel. Has anyone ever seen this before, or know what might be causing it?
