As i only got and installed slackware for the first time 2 days ago i used the 2.4 kernel and it worked fine but i decided to switch to the huge26.s 2.6 kernel.. so as id installed basially nothing i reinstalled it all by formatting the drives etc. and the whole installation went perfectly and then i restart as it says and then when i choose linux from the LILO boot menu it runs thorugh everything then says something like FSCHK ( i think lol) will check your hardrives as they havent been checked in ???? days.
Then it checks my /usr partition then /opt partition then when it gets to my /home partition (150gbish) it does up to 14.6% then goes through a load of errors and keeps repeating them and the block its on increases by 1 each time.. i then reinstalled it with the huge26.s kernel and the same happend again..
how could i fix this? or do i just HAVE to use the 2.4 kernel?
