Post rc file at sysconfig missing


I was trying to start vsftpd however it gives me an error /etc/sysconfig/rc: No such file or directory. I can't even find it in any files/folders in my machine.Can somebody give me that file?Thanks for your help!

Use the Slackware package for that and you won't have the problem.

To start it, uncomment the line in /etc/inetd.conf.

it is already uncomment.however, when i try to enter this command:/etc/rc.d/init.d/vsftpd start. Im doing the start because i thought thats the reason why i cant connect to ftp.Im having "421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection" error when i try to connect.

This would be a sign that you are not using the Slackware package of vsftpd.

Again, install the Slackware version of the package if you want help in the Slackware forum.

so, how would i uninstall the wrong package of vsftpd?sorry just a newbie in linux.thanks for your replies!

Yes i am.Anyway thanks for the reply.I have already fixed my problem.It was just an installation problem.
