Random X freezes...

Well this is new and it was not happening before.... Nothing has change in my system.
Now every so often I get random annoying X freezes....
I am running Slackware 13.37 x86_64 and the vid card is an nvidia GTX470SC.I am running the genric kernel with the 273 nvidia driver...

I upgraded to 280 to see if that fixes the issue and the issue still there...

I seen some people posting the same issue and fixing it with kernel upgrades.... My issue with that is that it was working ok before.....

here is the error...

Code:

[51647.502029] NVRM: Xid (0000:01:00): 8, Channel 00000001
Any ideas?

TIA!

Well I think I got this issue resolved by adding the following under "Device" to the xorg.conf

Code:

Option        "NvAgp" "1"
