programs, including pine, failing to run, missing lib

I recently installed Slackware 11.0 on an older laptop that I am tryign to get up and running. I get this error several times during start up, and when I try to run pine. It says that it can't find libsasl2. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to find this. I know the library is not on the laptop, because when I run 'find / -iname *sasl* -print' it comes up with nothing. Thanks in advance!
