Problems with a new Slack install
I have just installed Slackware 10.0 and I'm having a few problems. This is the second distrobution I've tried, SuSE 9.1 first. I switched to Slack because I felt that I wasn't learning much about Linux with SuSE, but I don't need to bore you further with any more of that.
No sound. My motherboard has an integrated sound chip which doesn't seem to be recognised, it was by SuSE. My motherboard is an Abit NF7 v2 if that makes a difference.
Modem troubles. I found the right drivers, installed them and it works to a certain extent. I get a good connection, but it only lasts for about 3 minutes, after that, it still says that I am online, but no data can be transferred. It is an external USB thing with an SGS chipset, the driver I'm using is slmdm-2.7.14.
Not really a problem, just a question. During the setup I chose KDE as my default GUI, so how do I change it now? I can't find an option anywhere.
Thanks to anyone who answers, I hope that wasn't too annoying.
