Problems mounting LVM created by Fedora in Slackware 13
This post is almost a duplicate but not really.
I installed slackware 13 to an 80gig drive on a box that also had an encrypted LVM created by Fedora. I can not seem to mount the drive from slackware even after opening the lock. However, I cvan not boot the older fedora image due to UUID changing names. I tried to correct the UUID via a boot disk and am unable to do so. I have only read access to the 750gig fedora partition. Slackware fails mount with unknown partition type. I can see my data but not pull it off. |
How did you try to correct the UUID ?

i just booted to the fedora partition which dumped me to a prompt with read only access. from that point i ran nano /etc/fstab thinking i could change it that way. anyways, that didnt work as i only had read access.
I just ended up putting a usb drive in the machine and pulling my old data off. |
