Problems Installing Slax on a USB Pen Drive
Hi everyone! I've been using Slackware for about 3 months now, and I'm so happy with it I have been wanting to install its little brother Slax to boot anywhere I happen to run accross a M$ machine. However, this has proved to be quite problematic...I bought a brand new 2GB PNY Attache 2.0 USB drive to install it on, and attempted to run cfdisk in order to get it to format correctly. The error I got was: Bad primary partition 0: partition begins after end-of-disk
I even attempted to run fdisk, but now it can't even see the drive (I did dmesg, and found it, but lsusb doesn't see it!) :( This is proving to be a bit frustrating, if anyone can offer any suggestions please let me know! :) |
And...nevermind!
In one last ditch effort, I stumbled across http://pendrivelinux.com/ and I am now running Slax off my "pen drive" ;) Thanks anyway, hope I didn't waste anyone's time!
