Problem with XPDF - Way it renders fonts weird

Running xpdf 3.01 to view pdf files on Slackware 10.2.

Whenever I view a pdf and move the scroll bar down, it renders the fonts weird, and they seem to stick to the bottom of the page.

I will try to minmize/maximize the window, but they still stick.

Is anyone else having a problem with this?

Is there anyway to get around this? It makes reading pdfs very annoying...

thanks

what desktop/window manager are you using? If KDE use Kpdf, it's the best open source PDF viewer. There are others like evince and gpdf or you could give Adobe Acrobat a look (just click on get adobe reader button). Personally I use Kpdf, Xpdf ain't great.

I forgot.

I'm using Fluxbox, because my computer is from 2001, and the hardware is generic (SiS chipset for video card), so sometimes Linux has some challenges, but it does the best it can.

There were some changes in the lastest release of Xpdf in font handling.
XPDF changlog

You could try recompiling your own version.
