Problem with echolink on WinXP through a slackbox


Hi All:
It has been a while since I needed all of your help, but here I am again hoping for answers.

quick run down on my system and problem

My Server is
Slackware linux ( the best )
Kernel 2.4.31
Internet connection is a External Modem Blaster
Nic card is 100tbase
100tbase switch
I am running DNSMASQ for DNS DHCP
I an also running rc.firewall-iptables with a simple ruleset
this is started in rc.local

The machine that has Eolink

WinXP Pro
nic card is 110tbase
I am running symantic internetsecurety and no windows firewalls.

Now here is my problem
When running echolink I can see everyone but cannot connect to the test server. I ran the software echolink troubleshooter and found the TCP connectivity is OK but the UPD using ports 5198 and 5199 were not functioning or unreachable. I then turned off all firewall etc on the WinXP machine and I ran the troubleshooter again and the same problem was still there.
Echolink needs to recieve messages over these ports and I need to make sure that my slackbox is not the problem.

I am hopeing that there is a Ham out there who has this setup running and can help me
