Problem printing with EPSON CX6600 on Slackware 13.1

I'm posting this in the Slack forum because I've been able to print with other distros (Mint, Sabayon) without problem so I'm guessing the way my printer is configured with Slack must be wrong. My CX6600 is recognized and when I try to print, it responds, but by printing a page filled with black ink. I have tried printing in Okular, Firefox and OpenOffice with the same result. Any suggestions?

ap/ghostscript-8.71-x86_64-3.txz: Rebuilt.
Merged an upstream patch from Till Kamppeter to fix printing black pages
with CUPS and certain printers.
Update From -Current

I suggest you update this package, i had the same problem with my Epson Stylus TX210.
