Printing: What do I do with my PPD file in CUPS?
 

My printer was not listed among the choices in the localhost:631 routine, so I dowloaded a PPD file. Now what? The docs mostly assume you know some stuff that I don't (yet!).

I now have a printer test page, thanks to your tip. I had already looked at the first page you noted, but not carefully enough (well, it was a bit confusing). This time I read it more methodically and it took me about 3 minutes to get the thing up and running. Thx.
