printing last page first with lpr

How do I print last page first? I've set up cups with localhost:631, I've checked a few man pages and config files, but the only place I see this option is in kprinter and I don't want to use that every time I want to printer something out. I mainly print with lpr from the command line.

What sort of files are you printing? For example you can print dvi files in reverse with:

dvips -r file

Also psselect can print postscript files in reverse with the -r option. It can do a lot of other things as well, like specifying the pages.

Thanks...

But I guess I should have read the documentation better, although it wasn't in the man page, you can easily do:

lpr -o outputorder=reverse file.txt

Very useful. Also if you type

lpoptions -o outputorder=reverse

then check with

lpoptions

it should save that setting for you and you dont need to type each time
