Printing garbage

I have setup my printer with apsfilter and it works fine, but sometimes when printing it will start printing garbage and I need to switch off the printer and also sometimes need to restart the machine. I am using Slackware 9. Anyway I can manage the printing without going through all this?

In your apsfilterrc file

/usr/local/etc/apsfilter/apsfilterrc

add the following line

IGNORE_LPD_RAW
