Pre-installation Problems
I have a weird problem... Ihave downloaded the ISO for Slackware 8.1 and burned it onto a CD... on my 'big' machine, the CD boots without problems, but on my second machine, it doesn't. So I created a bootdisk (using bare.i) and booted - all right, I get to the parameter passing. After having done so, the kernel loads - but then I get the following output:
VFS: Insert root floppy disk to be loaded into RAM disk and press ENTER.
I suppose that the slack CD is the root 'floppy', but the PC doesn't figure. I have also tried ramdisk hdc=cdrom - but didn't work
Any ideas? Thanks
