powershell on slackware?

i wanted to use powershell, but it seems to require gnome and gnome is out of slackware apparently, plus i dont use it or particularly feel like installing it. anyway, the README says that it just requires GTK+ 1.2 or greater and gnome-libs, but if you dont have gnome-libs it will just compile without URL handlers. it said i could get gnome-libs at gnome.org, but i couldnt find it anywhere on the site. when i do a ./configure, i get an error about gnome not being installed. so, i was wondering if anybody had some suggestions on how to get it running without installing gnome or maybe reccomend of a nice terminal emulator that doesnt require gnome. i'm having similar problems with multi-gnome-terminal, but installed it with a binary tarball and when i try to run it, it complains about some gnome libraries or something. are all the good terms are based on gnome terminal?

Well, I don't know what you're using, but you've Konsole (from KDE), Aterm, Eterm, Mrxvt supports transparencies and those "nice looking stuff" (the latest also supports tabs). If you don't use that things, simply use Xterm

None of these that I know needs gnome to be compiled.

Mrxvt: http://materm.sourceforge.net/
Eterm: http://www.eterm.org/
Aterm: http://aterm.sourceforge.net/

Remember also that you can use screen inside any console to get multiple consoles

`./configure --help` may give you details on what arguments to give to the configure script to disable features that require gnome
