Power management


I noticed slackware shuts off my monitor after a number of minutes. How can I control that number?

Check your screensaver settings and also check the "Power Control" options in your display settings (right click desktop and selct "Configure Desktop").

I am not that interested in desktop power control.. I saw that even when I am not in X slackware shuts off the monitor..

In /etc/rc.d/rc.M, this line probably does it:

/bin/setterm -blank 15 -powersave powerdown -powerdown 60
