Possible bug with 12.2?

Hi all,

I've come across what might be a bug with 12.2. When I type
Code:
info chown
I get the info page for it; but, when I just type
Code:
info
and then navigate to the chown entry, I get this error:
Code:
fileutils: No such file or directory
.

There are several of the entries in the info directory that are like that.

If it is a bug, how do I fix it and submit the fix to the Slackware folks?

If it's not a bug, how do I fix it?

Thanks,

-Drew

Edit /usr/info/dir, replace all these entries: fileutils, sh-utils, and textutils, with this: coreutils.

I seem to recall this coming up a long time ago and that it had been fixed or patched. This bug belongs to the upstream coreutils devs.

I've always regarded it as a minor inconvenience rather than a bug, so I've never thought of reporting it.

I'll give that a try. Thank you.

Gilbert: I'll send a bug report to the coreutils folks.

Regards,

-Drew
