pogo and gtk

Has anyone been able to get pogo http://www.ibiblio.org/propaganda/pogo/ to work correctly in slack? I cannot seem to get it to compile as I have gtk2 and not gtk, how can I run both versions of gtk at once (if possible), and then how to I set the paths on compiling to only recognize gtk?

btw, pogo really seems like a cool little prog

i just installed it. it was pretty simple. i su'd to root and ran ./pogo-installer
then exited, then ran pogo-isntaller again...no problems. altho should be noted the su is not needed at all
just a force of habit.

Were you able to get pogo to do anything when it starts? It doesn't appear for me.
