Question play audio cd's as a normal user

I 've edited my fstab so that I can use my cdrom as a normal user which works fine for mounting data cds.

I can play audio cds as root using Kscd but when i try as a normal user it just gives me this message;

"CD-ROM read or access error (or no audio disc in drive).
Please make sure you have access permissions to:
/dev/cdrom"

I dont have a clue why it does this there is probably something blindingly obvious I've missed

heres my fstab.

/dev/hda5 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hda1 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
/dev/hda6 /home reiserfs defaults 1 2
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,user,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0

please explain what to do as clearly as possible as im fairly new to slackware and linux in general.
Sorry if this has already been answered but I have looked.

many thanks

nothing to do with fstab, you need to change the permissions on the /dev/cdrom device, e.g.

chmod 755 /dev/cdrom
