i recentely downloaded the php5 package from linuxpackages and no longer have mysql support, i have read on the zend website something about liscencing and mysql isnt on by default,
i was wondering if anybody else has had this problem, where php itself works from the pre-compiled package, but i have no mysql access and how did you solve this problem
I solved it by upgrading mysql to the newest package found on the slackware mirror .. That worked for me.. So, now Im running:
mysql-4.0.23a-i486-1
php-5.0.3-i486-2jim
I am using mysql 5.0.24a on slackware. Installation of binary package didnt work with php. I have downloaded mysql source and did configure, make, make install.
After that compiled php --with-mysql directive.
Now it is working
