PHP Package creation failure

Had to build a new PHP package because the one that's installed using swaret does not have curl or mcrypt. I got the configure and make both seemed to work correctly and gave me success messages, but when I run checkinstall I get this message.

*******************************************************

Copying documentation directory...
Installing PHP CLI binary: /usr/bin/
Installing PHP CLI man page: /usr/man/man1/
Installing PHP SAPI module: apache
[activating module `php4' in /etc/apache/httpd.conf]
cp libs/libphp4.so /usr/libexec/apache/libphp4.so
cp: cannot stat `libs/libphp4.so': No such file or directory
apxs:Break: Command failed with rc=1
make: *** [install-sapi] Error 1

**** Installation failed. Aborting package creation.

Restoring overwritten files from backup...OK

Cleaning up...OK

Bye.

***********************************************************

Can anybody help?

I would recommend downloading the source from a Slackware mirror, editing the php.Slackbuild script to your needs, and compiling it that way - it'll even create a new package in /tmp.

Thanks, I edited my config script and eventually got it to work on my own since it took several hours to get an answer from this forum
