Ok, this post is not really going to be on topic since there is nothing Slackware specific—and hence I'll have no complaints if a mod moves it. However, I felt that since I have posted primarily in this sub-forum of LQ, I might take the opportunity to give a small update here.
As many of you know I have worked at Opera for a number of years and been the team lead for our Linux product. Today is my last day as part of that team—Opera has closed down development of the desktop browser in Oslo (though it continues in Poland).
A number of you have sent me messages, questions, bug reports, etc. in the past about Opera. Sadly, I am no longer the guy to help you with those.
P.S. I currently still plan to maintain my various latest-browser scripts for Slackware—ok, so one sentence on topic.
Sad to hear that. I junked Firefox permanently after the Brendan Eich atrocity and have been a very happy Opera user ever since. Good luck in your continuing endeavors.

Just an innocent question!
From when Men humping Women started to be an atrocity, for real, in America?
Also, you may consider yourself to be some sort of smart Gay, but I consider your speech to be loooooooooooooooong away of LQ intentions, as in Linux Questions.

You are taking this thread in a direction it should not go, so don't. Period.

Plus you should not be branding people, no matter what your intentions are. Any further OT banter may lead to repercussions.
*Also could the persons who marked his post as "helpful" please step forward?
Best wishes for you ruario, whatever comes up. You know, I always wanted to ask you if the subject of open-sourcing opera (pre-chrome) ever came up. I remember back when there was a gtk version of opera, and always wished it had been 'charitably' free-sourced after it was abandoned.

Read more about Brendan Eich, friend, then form your opinion. What the american 'left' did to him is appalling. Being in Romania, you should understand about fascism quite well, or did that history lesson pass you over some how? Also, this is a family forum; keep your sexual innuendos to yourself. Please.
I was thanking ruario for helping provide a viable alternative to Firefox, which I quit using based on their hard-line politics. That is hardly ground breaking behavior.

...and it [c|s]hould have been just that. Or don't you think that introducing any agenda or politics kind of dilutes, diminishes, distracts from the gesture when thanking someone?
