PCIe SSD card/drive support?

Hello All

As per title, wondering whether 14.1 supports PCIe SSD. Thinking of taking a plunge and getting the PCIe SSD instead of SATA III SSD for use as main system drive.

Also, been reading that many use SSD (SATA III) as a system drive, but HDD for storage. Is it because of the prices of larger capacity SSDs or SSDs are still not very reliable?

thx

Hi,

From my perspective the price for larger SSD is still a little high. You can get a good SSD 120-250GB and a TB HDD at a price for under $300. While a TB SSD will still cost you in the $500-$600 range. Prices for consumer grade will start to fall as production increases.

Reliability for newer SSD is good for consumer grade equipment.
