Huzzah!!!

Deepest gratitude sir, for making my computing life tolerable. Fantastic work!

Congratulations Pat. The creation of the original slackware was a hell of an achievement, but has been dwarfed in comparison to your keeping it going and nurturing it to its terrific -current state.

Much thanks for giving us an operating system that is a source of joy rather than annoyance.

Finally, slackware is young, almost three times younger than me,

a French song said, "on n'a pas tous les jours vingt ans"

Joyeux anniversaire .............. ;)

Happy birthday, Slackware! Only one more year before I can legally run 'installpkg beer.txz' on you ;)

I'm tempted to grab a copy of a very early release (1.01 is on mirrors.slackware.com; I wonder if any older versions are lingering on some old FTP server somewhere) and see if I can get it installed. I already have SLS running on my oldest machine (Compaq Presario 1210) and it would be fun to play with them side-by-side and see the similarities and differences.

Thanks!

Happy "Slack" Day!

Praise Bob!
And thank you, Pat for the work put into this and the attention to the community.
My machine has been dual-boot for a long time: A Slackware partition for things to work and another partition for trying out all the other new stuff. Slackware runs solidly and it stays where it is.
This occasion calls for a donation, by the way.

Congratulations!

And a HUGE "Thank You" to Pat!

Have used Slackware on and off since the late 90's until I decided to completely dump Windows. Here's the book that got me started:

Thanks and congratulations Pat.

It's great to have Slackware celebrate its anniversary almost the same day of my birthday (today) :-)
