OK I'm hoping someone has hade a similar problem and managed to solve it, I certainly can't. Anyway, I'm trying to install psybnc to overcome my ident problems (I have a windows machine, workstation, running behind my slackware machine). The problem with psybnc is that it can't seem to find the openssl binary even though it's there. I've asked a few friends running other dists and the had no such problem. So, I installed openssl (no problems during installation) and tried to use that instead of the package that came with Slackware, no luck. I still get
' SSL-Support: Yes, but no openssl binary found in "/usr/local/ssl/bin/" '
even though the binary is there. Now this problem seems only to occur in Slackware from what I can tell.
My question is; is tehre something else I have to do to get openssl to work properly? (apart from installing it of course

)
Cheers!
(I've also asked in the psybnc support channel but nobody seems to be running slackware in there)
Edit: Can just add that I tried with gobnc, same error. It can't detect the installed openssl binary.
