OpenOffice package for Slack 9.1

Dear slackers, does anybody know where to find a .tgz package containing OpenOffice 1.1?
I've been trying google, and found alot of .rpm packages.
I'm a bit sorry if I've had to build it myself....

Thanks a lot!

OOo

I don't think there is a tgz package for Open Office. However, installing Open Office is evry simple and easy with the open office setup scripts. You can download it and find installation instructions from:

http://download.openoffice.org/1.1.0/

Good Luck,

Tom.

I don't believe there is one available for Slack. I downloaded it from here ->

You can get one here. You'll need the libgnomecups and gnome-cups-manager packages as well. And GNOME too but as long as you have the GNOME libs this package should work under KDE, Fluxbox, etc.

You dont really need a .tgz package for Open Office. When you download it (and after you extract it), you will have a setup file which will bring up a nice GUI, and install everything for you... Its more or less the same thing, just a few more clicks than a .tgz.

Personally, i like it =]
