Hi,

I don't have a Slackware 14.0 available here, but I re-tested on Slackware 13.37 64-bit and Slackware-current 64-bit, using the identical packages icedtea-web-1.3.1-x86_64-1alien and openjdk-7u13_b20-x86_64-1alien on both machines.
This is what I get - no crash:
Code:
$ firefox
java version "1.7.0_13"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea7 2.3.6) (Slackware)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.7-b01, mixed mode)

@AlienBOb

Thank you for your post , I don't know what i did ..

But if I log into KDE as root it works , letting me to believe it is a permissions problem

Any suggestions
