I just installed Open Office using the slackbuild for 32bit Slackware 14.0 but I get a segfault when running soffice. This is probably because I haven't installed jdk, which is required. The reason I could not install jdk is that the source download fails because of some oracle license issue. Did any of you encounter this problem and, if so, what did you do to fix it?
Well, I found the correct package on the oracle site, accepted the license and now I have jdk installed, but still no luck. I get the wizard, but when I click "finish" the wizard crashes and I see this:
Thanks, that's nice! But I would really like to know why these slackbuilds fail. I've never had this problem with previous openoffice and slackware versions.
Your packages do work (jdk-7u10 and openoffice-3.4.0), it only gives
Code:
$ soffice
javaldx failed. User must select a JRE from options dialog!
What did you change w.r.t the original slackbuild apart from the versions?
