ONLY the font of webpage in Opera is non-antialiased

Hi,
Sorry, a very strange issue, ONLY the font of the webpage displayed in my Opera is not very clear and beautiful, all the rest of pages, including firefox, system, are working fine..

Just a little bit background info, first, I am very new to slackware, or linux in general.

I tried to install the windows fontS copied from my XP partition (ibm t43) , right after that, I exit the system, with only "Opera" left on. When i "startx" again, reopen my "opera", and found out the font of webpage in opera isn't clear and craystal any more.

It somehow bugs me, because I use opera all the time.

Can someone help me on this please?

Mark.

THAHKS.

Run fc-cache and try again.
Enter opera:config into the address bar and change Opera used fonts.

I think that you must have installed a qt-static build of opera, I remember that it happened me before with Vectorlinux, I had to download the shared build to get the antialiased fonts if I'm right

Thanks guys, sorry for the late reply, and just came back.

I guess I didn't have the truetype font installed correctly, and I will try to install the true type font first, and then figure out the opera issue.

I will try to install the opera once again,, windows-type thinking...

Thanks again.

I forgot to say that using the Windows fonts isnt going to work because in Windows XP the fonts are antialiased with a software patented algorithm called ClearType
