On the fly mount points for removable storage disks
As far as I remember when I was under slack 10.1 with gnome, whenever a flash drive was inserted, mount points will be created automatically under /media, say something like flashdisk0, flashdisk1, flashdisk2 ... Also rules were added into /etc/fstab accordingly.
But now I cannot have the same behavior under slack 10.2 (self-complied kernel 2.6.12.6) with gnome 2.12.0. Gnome does detect the flash disks inserted and put icons of the disks at "My Computer" place. But without relevant mount points and rules added to /etc/fstab, there is no way to mount the disks by clicking the icons of disks. Do I miss anything?
