Old Patrick Volkerding interview


Hey guys
I found this interview today (in slackware chile) (is really old [1994] so probably you already read it)

Thanks for the link. It's nice article.

If I could get an extra hard drive I would like to install Slack on it to test if I could replace my WinXP on my computer. Hopefully the Wine has improved since last try.

Thanks God the two project didn't merge so at least we have one decent distro.

Agreed. Slackware is my favourite followed by Debian and FreeBSD.

That's fun to read. A look into the mind of Pat during the early days of Slackware. I've added it to my bookmarks. A merge between Slackware and Debian might've actually been interesting. I like the way both projects have progressed separately, but if a project that combined the best of both appeared that close to the release of Win95 we may have seen Microsoft's defensive tactics 10 years sooner.
