To be fair, I think botzko's guess is worthy of recognition too, considering the changelogs say September 26. :) Have I missed any other September 26ers?
Incidentally, when I initially saw this thread, I had a private guess of September 27. When yesterday came and went, I felt all happy and smart for not having said anything, leaving me with the chance of being right in the future. (Yesterday I considered posting a new date of October 2.) I don't feel all happy and smart now, however. That said, I'm delighted Slackware 14.0 is here! In particular, I'm very delighted that it was released just after the beta of Ubuntu 12.10, as opposed to the last release, which came just before the release of Ubuntu 11.04. May Slackware enjoy all the time it can at the top of the Latest News and Updates section of the DistroWatch home page! :D
